Job Description

Top leadership role, responsible for all office level executive management aspects of non-profit organization including

services, support, and business operations. Successful candidates must be considered a proven leader who possesses a

blend of strong interpersonal skills and business acumen capable of engaging the community behind the mission of the

organization and driving a healthy and effective organizational culture. The Executive Vice President is responsible for

building and articulating the mission statement for the Junior Chamber to the broader community to ensure financial,

partner, and community support. The candidates should posses strong, formal leadership experience; including board of

directors and staff interfaces experience. It will be the responsibility of the Executive Vice President to manage the day to

day operation of the Nation Service Center and the execution of the policy, procedures and regulations of the Corporation,

including supervision over funds, and securities, and financial accounts. Oversees and maintains the fiscal operations with

the prescribed budget adopted annually by the Board of Directors, including directly control of all staff personnel of the

Corporation, in the hiring, and termination process within budgetary constraints. Develops and interprets appropriate

personnel policies which conform to all applicable federal and state employment laws.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a business, non-profit management,

marketing, finance, or related field, plus three to five years of full-time experience in association management in a

supervisory position

Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others; to manage projects for timely completion; to perform

numerical analyses; to interpret statutes; to analyze, evaluate, and summarize financial and management records

for accuracy and conformance to procedures, rules, and regulations; and to draft clear and concise reports and

correspondence regarding findings

Exceptional expertise communicating technical material (preparing written reports, making technical presentations,

providing workshops, or training) to staff, boards, special interest groups and general member/public

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Working Knowledge of the following software: MS Word, MS Excel, Access, Relational Databases,

Crystal Reports, QuickBooks 2010 Premier Non Profit, Windows 2000, XP and Vista OS

Demonstrated experience in the following: contract negotiations, event planning, budgets, business

planning – short and long term

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to effectively network at all levels

High degree of confidentiality and ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

A master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in the degrees listed above or related fields

plus five or more years of the preferably in a non-profit environment

Member of Professional Association related to non-profit organizations

Proven fund-raising ability

Excellent public speaking ability and public presence

Experience with Public Relations

Special Requirements:

Candidates will be required to agree to a background screening and drug test
